Our Roots
Here at Gambetic organization, we know that sometimes all it takes to change the world is a little support. Since our founding in 2020, we have been determined to make an impact. The core of our efforts is to help people with type 1 diabetes in the Gambia,
to raise awareness and support for all/ at least some people who are suffering from T1D in the Gambia and do not have access to medications and supplies to keep on living as they should. Through all of our endeavors we hope to display the conviction behind our beliefs.

At Gambetic organization, we are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in addressing this issue. Diabetes is by no means an easy feat, but through cooperation and community empowerment we believe we can facilitate progress in this area. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and lend your support. Gambia is one of the poorest countries and the healthcare system is not the best either, especially for the people with chronic diseases, which is why a lot of people in the Gambia are more likely to die from these diseases other people survive from different countries.
People with T1D in the Gambia have to pay 50 dalasi every Wednesday ( which is the day all diabetics have their appointments) they do not have glucose meters to check their blood sugar at home so they all share one glucose meter and have to go to hospital, pay 50 dalasi for one test strip so they can get their blood tested. We think it is heartbreaking to see these people struggling and knowing that they do not choose that lifestyle but they are still in it.
We will really appreciate it if we have funds to help these diabetics funds for the Gambetic foundation to help them live the life they deserve.
